What is Geocaching

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

Searching for Geocache Sites

There are over 2100 geocache sites in the Plainfield Area and over 907,890 active geocaches around the world. Enter your postal code or address and click "go" to explore the geocaches near you.

We are still exploring the idea of a pack wide treasure hunt. Each den will have their own geocache and tracking bug that they will hide in anyone of the local preserves or parks. Once completed all den will be able to try and locate the other Dens cache buy using a GPS unit along with the Latitude & Longitude of the dens cache only.
